Restaurant Review: Rosie's Mexican Cantina

Recently, I visited Rosie's Cantina on South Memorial Parkway in Huntsville with a couple of co-workers for lunch. Rosie's Cantina is a standard Mexican-style restaurants offering the typical fare of tacos, enchiladas, fajitas and the like. When we entered the restaurant, we were warmly greeted and quickly seated. Our server quickly asked what we would like to drink and we were provided with chips and salsa. There was nothing special about the salsa, but the chips are awesome. They are made in-house from scratch and you can certainly taste the difference. Rosie's has a great lunch menu with prices ranging from about $7-$13 per entrée.

I ordered the Pollo Loco (lunch portion) which is a chicken breast marinated, seasoned and chargrilled placed on a bed of Mexican rice and topped with creamy queso blanco and served with shredded lettuce and pico de gallo.

Both of my co-workers (Lauren & Skyla) ordered the Chicken Fajitas served with homemade flour tortillas, sautéed peppers, onions, rice, charro beans, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, sour cream & Mexican garlic butter.

OVERALL REVIEW: I would give Rosie's a thumbs up! The food was delicious, server was attentive, ambience was perfect and I enjoyed a great meal with great friends. This location also has outside seating. Rosie's is also opened during dinner hours and has two other locations in the Huntsville area.
