Spotlight: Greene Street Market at Nativity

Last month, I did a spotlight on the Madison County Farmer's Market. Today, I want to highlight all of the great things going on at the Greene Street Market at Nativity. On my recent visit to this market, I was absolutely intoxicated with the smells of sweet peaches and blueberries, and not to mention the fresh pizza and herbs! This market also has all types of sauces, jams and jellies and please don't forget the fresh baked bread!

Fresh baked bread and cookies along with corn, blackberries, and cucumbers

Fresh picked blueberries from the Bagwell Blueberry Farm in Cullman, Alabama

Cucumber, Okra, New Potatoes, Jalapenos, Squash, Banana Peppers and Tomatoes

Beautiful Eggplants and Bell Peppers!

Beautiful fresh Tomatoes (green & red), Tomatillos and Okra

Heirloom Tomatoes from Buddy's Tomatoes

Freestone Peaches from Isom's Farm in Limestone County, Alabama. These were great in my Fresh Fruit Tart!

The Greene Street Market at Nativity is located on Greene Street in downtown Huntsville. Now in its third season, the Market is open every Thursday afternoon (4-8 p.m.) through October. Come to the Market for the food, for special events for children, for cooking demonstrations and for great music from local musicians and singers.
